This policy explains what personal data BiiSensing collects through this website, why we collect it, and what you can do about it. It covers biisensing.com only.

Who is responsible for your data

What we collect, and why

Information you give us

When you complete the contact form we collect your name, email address, and optionally your company, phone number, region, industry and the message you write. We ask for your region because it determines which of our engineering teams responds to you.

We use this only to answer your enquiry and, where it leads to a commercial conversation, to follow up on it. We do not sell it, and we do not use it for unrelated marketing without asking you separately.

The legal basis is your consent, which you give by ticking the box on the form, and our legitimate interest in responding to a business enquiry you initiated.

Information collected automatically

If you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics collects information about which pages you visit and how you arrived. This is used in aggregate to understand which content is useful. If you decline, no analytics script is loaded and none of this is collected. See our Cookie Policy for the detail.

Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs, including IP addresses, for security and troubleshooting. These are kept for a short period and are not linked to form submissions.

How long we keep it

Contact form submissions are kept for as long as the commercial relationship they relate to is active, and for a reasonable period afterwards in case you get back in touch. If an enquiry does not lead anywhere, we remove it once it is clearly no longer relevant.

You can ask us to delete your data at any time and we will do so unless we are legally required to keep it.

Who else sees it

Your enquiry is handled by BiiSensing staff and, where relevant, by colleagues in the BiiSmart Group office covering your region. We also rely on service providers who process data on our behalf:

• Our hosting provider, which stores the website and its database.
• Google Analytics, only if you accepted analytics cookies.
• Our email provider, which delivers the notification of your enquiry.

We do not sell personal data to anyone, and we do not share it for advertising.

International transfers

BiiSmart Group operates in Mexico, Panama, Italy, China and Hong Kong, so your enquiry may be handled by a colleague outside your country. Where data leaves the European Economic Area we rely on the transfer mechanisms permitted under GDPR.

Your rights

You can ask us to give you a copy of the data we hold about you, correct it if it is wrong, delete it, restrict how we use it, or object to our using it. If you are in the European Union you also have the right to complain to your national data protection authority.

To exercise any of these, write to info@biisensing.com. We will respond within the period the applicable law requires.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS. Enquiries are stored in our systems with access limited to the people who need it. No system is perfectly secure, and we do not claim otherwise, but we take reasonable measures appropriate to the data involved.

Children

This is a business-to-business site. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top. Material changes will be made clear on the site rather than made quietly.
